General Terminology

  1. Turn Around: A camera shot in which the camera rotates around a central axis to show a character or object from a different angle.
  2. Push In: A camera shot in which the camera moves closer to the subject to create a tighter shot.
  3. Tighter: A term used to describe a shot that shows a subject or object in closer detail.
  4. Master: A term used to describe a wide shot that sets the scene or location and establishes the overall composition of the shot.
