Codex compact drives were created for the release of the Arri Alexa Mini LF as the data rates were faster than any current media solution that was out at the time.

The cameras currently using codex compact drives are the Arri Alexa Mini LF and the Arri Alexa 35.

There are currently two capacities 1TB (CX.0001002) which is the one with the yellow around it and 2TB (CX.0001073) with the orange around it.
